What is CrossFit?

We want to make sure that by attending Stonehenge CrossFit you are ready for any of life's challenges, the unknown and the unknowable.

We offer programming that includes constantly varied workouts, utilising functional movements and is carried out at a high intensity. CrossFit training is used by special forces, elite athletes and some of the fittest men and women on earth, but it can be done by anyone.

Workouts are scalable, the exercises can be carried out via progressions because the needs of an athlete, someone wanting to get in shape, an 80-year-old grandparent, student, shopworker or business owner differ by degree and not kind. They are devised to suit YOU.

  • Our programming will increase your work capacity fitness across broad times and modal domains.
  • Training modalities include Olympic lifting, powerlifting, kettlebells, running, rowing, gymnastics and much more.

We are a results-based gym. Our goal is to make you stronger, faster and fitter.

Visit us at Stonehenge CrossFit and let the gains begin.

CrossFit nutrition in brief

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar! Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.

CrossFit movements in brief

We practice and train all major lifts. That includes deadlifts (formerly known as the healthlift), clean, squat, presses, clean and jerk and the snatch.

We also master a gymnastic core of pull-ups, dips, rope climbs, sit ups, presses to handstand and holds.

We also skip (with ropes!), run and row.

Various memberships are available but we recommend creatively mixing the elements above five or six days a week in varying combinations and permutations. The idea is to have a routine without routine. Workouts are short and intense. Learn every time, and play new sports.

Our coaches will support you every step of the way on your CrossFit journey.

The first step might come from one of our taster sessions, or an from one of our fundamental courses.

We will help you with movements that are required for improved fitness like squats, snatches and pull-ups. They take time, as does improving your mobility, endurance, speed and your power.

Whether you want to change your body shape and size, improve your fitness, stability, mobility or if you're recovering from injury and are looking to get back in the saddle, we can help.

Unless you have completed an OnRamp/fundamentals course at another CrossFit box, you will be required to complete one at Stonehenge CrossFit. This is also a great way to get to know the coaches and other members.

We can meet your needs with CrossFit training, the world-renowned fast-growing strength and conditioning programme.

When you have finished the fundamentals, you will feel confident, comfortable and raring to go into our classes, ready to hit workouts with the groups and maybe even the coaches!

We offer classes in the morning, through the day and in the evenings on weekdays. We're open on weekends, too. As our community grows we will offer more classes.
